Rather than a wild weekend of partying, Vegas this past weekend was much more of a nice, relaxing vacation, which is exactly what I needed as summer tipped off. We went to celebrate my best friend, Joyce's 21'st. We stayed at her family's timeshare at the Wyndham Grand Desert, which was a a mile or two off the strip (a few minute cab ride). It was nice because we got to stay in, cook, swim and relax a bit.

We went out to the strip once and explored Vegas like tourists from outer space! I think we went were harassed by 200 hooker promoters, visited every hotel, and took pictures of every monumental feature of LV.
My favorite part of the trip was our dinner at Mon Ami Gabi, a french steakhouse. I love a nice dinner out. This restaurant was so my type of place. I loved the ambiance, the decor, the furnishing, the food, the chatter and especially the music. It set the mood perfectly for this nice bday celebratory dinner. I had the seared salmon. Friends got the steak bordelaise, mussels mariniere, hanger steak, fish and frites, and everyone was raving about their dishes. Topped off the meal with bananas foster crepe, and it was a perfect ending.
And of course, though it was extremely relaxing and a much needed break from LA, we had to go out least one of the nights!
Deuces.
