Easter Weekend in Croatia

Michelle, Heidi and I made a trip to Croatia for Easter Weekend. It started off with a overnight cruise from the port of Ancona, Italy to Split, Croatia. When we got to Croatia on Friday morning, we settled into our hostel and hit the beautiful beach. The entire weekend was such an interesting and new experience, and really different from the other places I've been to in Europe. On Saturday, we went sailing to a few islands including Trojir. I've never seen such clear, blue waters. Croatia is a naturally beautiful place that I wish more people could experience. We also spent all of Sunday white water rafting in the pouring rain which was freezing, but pretty awesome.
One of the squares we passed multiple times a day. Tons of awesome looking restaurants and a bunch of tourists crowded in this area.
Our overnight cruise ship :) We had taken this boat from the port of Ancona in Italy to Split. It was a long, long ride but luckily I passed out for the entire ride.
Cathedral of Saint Domnius in Split. We climbed the bell tower on our last day and got some really cool shots of the entire city.
Traditional Croatian food that we had at Fife. I kept saying we should get one more dish because I was feeling ambitious, but thank goodness we didn't because we were stuffed after this meal. Delicious!
The Riva, along the coast of Split, Croatia.
The water in Croatia is so clear you can see the ground.
Just splashing around
Soaking up the sun and enjoying lifeee
Street vendors that sell everything from shotglasses to Ray Ban knockoffs to beach towels. Everything you need for a good weekend in the sun.
Pinkys up. Sippin our "tea" before heading out for the night. (This was the only thing they had for us in the kitchen)
Hanging out next to the Riva. Haha there's a mustache on my hand.
Ghetto Poet's Club, Croatia.
A Croatian "hamburger", really good but way too healthy to be an actual hamburger.
Sailing around Croatia with Michelle on the upper deck of our "booze cruise".
...and Heidi!
Cute mini boats we saw at a pitstop
The water was so clear, you can see all the sea urchins on the ground!
Walking tour around Trojir
Sun setting as we sail away
One of the most fun nights I've had in Europe was here, dancing next to the beach.
Party people! A shot of the entire group that night
The next morning we climbed the bell tower to find some really beautiful views.
The city is so gorgeous. I love all the roofs
Another really cool view of Split
The three of us travel buddies! :) Me, Michelle and Heidi (L-R)
Trying to hide my Sprite bottle, but it looks like I'm trying to hide a cigarette
White water rafting time! These rafts hold eight people at a time.
Reading to go rafting...or are we?
Us in our wet wetsuits. We're smiling but we were actually freezing.
While we were rafting, we made a stop. 4 of us decided to cliff jump so we climbed up a ledge and jumped off the cliff into the river! It was so much fun, but I ended up cutting myself on a rock when I was swimming back to the raft lol. Battle scar #2 and counting.
